But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you.
    O Israel, the one who formed you says,
Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
    I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
    I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
    you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
    you will not be burned up;
    the flames will not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom;
    I gave Ethiopia[a] and Seba in your place

Isaiah 43: 1-3 NLT

Most of us read scriptures without personalizing it, do you truly believe that God called you by name? If you do then why do you doubt ? When you personalize his word you’ll experience that peace that surpasses all understanding. He knows you go through rivers of difficulty but through it all he promised to be there for you, you his child are worth so much that he planned a ransom for your freedom.

Notice in verse 3 he states that he is the Lord your God, he did not just say that to fill in the blanks, he states that for a reason! There would be times that you will need to remember and remind yourself that God is the Lord your God! He knew you will face the: deep waters, the waters of difficulty and the fire of opposition. Notice fire and water were used metaphorically in this passage for a reason, they are both are powerful and dangerously consuming in vasts amounts. This shows God knows the extent of difficulty of  your challenges. Its a lie that the devil uses time and time again, when we think God is absent or does not understand.

Proclaim today

I know I am his and he has provided a ransom for me so I thank you God
